Who We Are

We Improve Quality of Life

If you are living with HIV/AIDS in the state of Alaska, and would like to receive services, call 263-2050 (Anchorage) or 800 478-2437. One of our staff will talk with you about your needs and set up a time you can meet to complete the intake process.

To receive services you will be asked to provide written medical verification of your HIV status, annual income and answer questions to help us better understand you current resources and needs.

Client Services at Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association (Four A's) include: case management, housing assistance, client education, supportive services, food bank and transportation.

Four A's offers these services in Anchorage and throughout the entire state to persons living with HIV/AIDS who are not served by Interior AIDS Association in Fairbanks.

Services are confidential, free of charge and offered in a respectful, client-centered approach. Four A's has Spanish speaking staff and accesses interpreters for other languages as needed.

What We Do

The Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association (Four A's) was formed in 1985 as a support organization for those living with HIV/AIDS.  For over 27 years, the Four A’s has served in its mission “to be a key collaborator within the state of Alaska in the provision of supportive services to persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families and in the elimination of the transmission of HIV infection and its stigma.”  Four A's is the lead HIV/AIDS organization in the State of Alaska serving 91% of the state in two core areas: 1) Supportive services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families, and 2) HIV prevention and education.  The Four A’s tagline “It’s All About Life” is a true representation of what the Four A’s does each day - working to help those living with HIV/AIDS, their families, and those at-risk by giving them the tools and resources to maintain their quality of life, protect life, and to continue to live life to the fullest.
