Alaska Health Fair, Inc.

Who We Are

Health fairs can be held in senior centers, schools, community centers, malls, hospitals, businesses, virtually anywhere. For a small programming fee, the health fair is open to the public, or for your employees, at no cost. Health fairs are extremely successful because they are co-organized by the local community or agency. Communities come together and enhance the success of their health fair by providing local experts in a variety of medical fields as well as promoting local, health and educational resources available to participants.

We provide preventative screenings at each health fair that include:

  • Blood Pressure
  • Height & Weight, BMI, and Body Composition
  • Vision Screening
  • Hearing Screening
  • Oral Cancer Screening
  • Blood Screening - includes a Chemistry/Hematology Profile, TSH, PSA, Vitamin D, and A1c- all at a nomical cost
  • Special Screeners - these could include skin cancer, podiatry, chiropractic, etc.

Alaska Health Fair has hundreds of health education learning centers, displays, brochures, games, and other resources. All are available for borrowing, at no cost, when not in use at a health fair. Donations are welcome. To view a full list of these materials, visit our website!

What We Do

Alaska Health Fair is a non-profit organization dedicated to coordinating over 100 health fairs statewide. We provide health, safety and wellness information on issues that affect all Alaskans and the choices they make. Health education and health screenings are our primary focus and since we only hold health fairs where we are invited, our focus and energy is dedicated to creating the best health fair for you.

Volunteers are a critical part of the service offered by Alaska Health Fair. Each year, more than 4,000 individuals volunteer at health fairs throughout Alaska.  We think of our volunteers as the heart of the Alaska Health Fair. They allow us to serve in communities across the state at no cost to participants. To learn how you can become a volunteer, see our listed volunteer opportunities.
